The wisdom of this world is dismal
And the depth of their understanding is like a shallow pool for dogs
They can only re-wrap the packaging
Of lies that have been told
Lies millennia old

Stop trying to convince me that your way is best
Because I've tried it and its left me empty and left...
Over and over again the cheap, plastic facade cracks
Can't you see it?
Can't you feel it?

You know you never feel quite at peace
You know you're still looking for a safe place to rest your feet
You know your soul is still unrested and turmoil
beckons your attention

You fight not to give in
You try to will yourself to let it go
But with every 3 steps forward
It's only a matter of time before you take 5 steps back
And most assuredly you look around and there you are again
And there you will always be...
