Lannie & Friends

I love blogging. Hopefully I'll have my laptop working soon and be able to just blog on the fly :)

So... Lanette... or as I like to warmly call her...

Lannie.

This girl.
She's been through everything with me.
From "love" to heartbreak
Poor to rich
Happy to sad
Laughing to crying
Mad
Annoyed
Pissed
Complaining and rejoicing

She's been there through everything
The yin to my yang
The Oreos in my vanilla icecream
The chimes to my drumset

She's hilarious
She's the person I can call when no one else knows the exact sitation because she knows me so well. She knows how I react and what I do when things get uncomfortable.

God couldn't have brought me a better friend.

Because friends aren't just people you always get along with and are always happy with. Friends are people who have ridden the rollercoaster with you. Who you know will be there when the crap hits the fan and everyone else has ducked for cover. Friends are people who can tell you that you are wrong because they love you. They don't say things or do things just because they feel like it's the "right" thing to do. They are really like family. Like a sister you had when you were chillin' in heaven before you came down from heaven.

I have had MANY people come and go from my life. Some by my own doing and some by God's and some by the other person's. But Everything happens for a reason and God brings everything together for good to those who are called according to His purpose and who Love Him. And I love Him. I can honestly say that as lonely as I have felt at times because of not having a large group of friends or even a few, that feeling of fakeness and/or not truely being me is much worse then not having someone to hang out with.

Real friends will never ask you to compromise who you are in Christ and will always look out for you and your walk if and when they see something uncertain or questionable. And not in a religious, holier then thou way but out of true Agape love.

I have learned to love people. And thank God that He has shown people grace and mercy to love me.
