Do you?...

Do you ever feel not in the know?
Like everyone else knows something...even if they don't know what is going on but yet they sill know something that I don't.
It is weird, this feeling.
No one really understands and although I would wish to further have an understanding...I don't. So I pray. Because He is always there no matter what.
He always knows...
No matter what.
So although I feel in limbo
Soon things will become clear.
And maybe this is to make me more dependent on Him.
For all my wants and cares.

His perogative

Everybody has an idea.
An idea of what their life may turn out like...
And what it WON'T be like.
What we will do
Where we will go
Who we will meet

But when we allow our ideas to be dropped off at the Lord's hands
We are no longer in control.
When we truly give up our "rights"
He will give us the go

When we have His heart
He will give us our desires

Think about it
If we are so in love with Him
And trying to obey His will
Our wants and desires WILL be
His desires for us

How many times have we gotten something we thought we wanted
Only to find out that it was much more of a pain then we had realized?
I truly believe we really don't know what we want
Our moods and feelings change with the wind

He knows what we REALLY need
And what our deepest desires are...
And how to bring those to fruition

Because He has given us everything we need to accomplish what we are here to do
It's all just a matter of bringing those things out
Bringing them to light
Learning them
Working them
And above all
Trusting Him
Having faith that He knows EXACTLY what He is doing
He knows EXACTLY when to do it
And who to put in your path to be your co-laborers

Try it sometime
It's not easy
But you will soon learn
That He will never let you down

But when something doesn't go the way you had planned...
Don't say He wasn't there
He was
Maybe He was saving you from something
Or maybe He has a better plan

Yes, It will hurt
Yes, It won't be easy
Yes, you'll want to quit
But don't.
Keep going.
Keep pushing.

If it's not worthing fighting for
It's pointless
If doesn't cost you anything...
Then what's the point?
And just when you think you're going to sink...
He is right there to pick you up.

Don't just take my word for it.
Trust Him.

That gut feeling

You know that gut feeling you have when you first meet someone?
Follow it.
It's not judging because you can't control it.
It's just there.
This gnawing feeling in your stomach that you can't make go away.

Will we ignore it and keep on going?
Yes.
It is not to say that we aren't wrong...
But it was there for a reason
A protection mechanism.

And sometimes when God allows you to figure out why you had that feeling
And he shows what was in the dark, in light
That feeling will go away...
Because it's no longer hiding
And it no longer has the ability to hurt you...
Because you know.

Don't be so blind as to ignore what your closest kin tell you.
They love you
They don't want to see you get hurt
Many times they may not understand why they feel a certain way
But you do
You know exactly what they are talking about
You know exactly what God is trying to say...

Honesty is a jewl so rare to find
It is something that can break
It is something that can make
But when the breaking comes
It's because we weren't ready
We choose not to hear it...
Or to heed it.
And when the making comes
It opens our eyes
We can breathe
There is peace
It is the truth
That sets us free.

It changes

You know why they say that the heart is deceitful above all else?
Because it changes.
Like the tide under moonlight.
It changes.
And when everything else is telling you one thing
You will still go with your heart
Because that is the strongest part
And when your heart lets you down.
You say you'll never do it again.
But that changes.
Because once again, when you forget about that pain of yesteryear
It will happen again.
That doesn't change.

Please don't take me for a skeptic
I'm just being real.
Unless you can feel with your heart
And follow through with your brain
There will always be tears.

Don't let your heart be hardened.
Just be smart.
Don't have those rose-coloured glasses
Be an extra appendage.
Take them off and see the light.

And little by little
Those rose-coloured glasses
Will breakthrough the night
If you feel with your gut and your brain
You'll be alright.
