When I see you I cry inside
The tears are raining down
I can see the pain in your face
When you pound these feelings down

Your heart it hurts
And I don't make it any easier
Although I say I don't expect
I truly do
Because I know the truth

And it pains me when you write me
Because I know it's fake
You're trying so hard to push it down
Trying not to make a mistake

I couldn't possibly understand
What it is you're going through
But my heart
It leaps then hurts
Because I'm in love with you

And you're pushing it down
Making me frown
I try and understand
Why you think this works?

Maybe it's more for you
Then for me

But I know the truth of how you feel
It's as real to me as cold-hard steel
I'm waiting for you to hit me over the head someday
That day will seal the deal

Monday morning.

I've done what I can.
I've been honest and up front.
Should I not expect that from you?

The situation isn't an easy one, I'll give you that.

I have no regrets.
I have grown and moved much further then I expected
And been vulnerable where I never thought I could.

I've done what I can.
I've been honest and forthright.
Now the ball is in your court.
You can forfeit the game if you'd like.
Just let me know sooner then later.
Or you can step up your game and play.

I have no regrets.
I finally feel great about my filter.
That I for once didn't care.
Because you know me.
If something bothered you or you didn't feel this way yadda yadda
I would respect it

But you don't say anything
Which maybe is something in and of itself
I'm not going to assume.

I love love
And everything about it.
God has helped me in this way.
You can't truly experience love without being vulnerable
Which means taking in the possibility of getting rejected or hurt.
And for the first time in maybe ever, I'm not afraid.
I'm not afraid of being rejected.
I have no regrets.

We'll see what happens. Love is a many splendor thing.
