The alien and I

The weirdest thing happened
I was existing one day and I came across an alien
But it wasn't your "typical" alien...
And really, what would make an alien "typical"?
This alien was kind, and loving and knew about the higher power
He had a bad past
Filled with things he didn't like
But I met the alien when he was turning his life around
Drastic style
I wish I could say
That the alien and I became friends...
but I would be lying.
We became best friends
For some crazy reason,
The alien could talk to me in a way he couldn't with other humans
Because they didn't understand
And I could talk to the alien about things no one ever cared to think about
No one understood the alien
People judged the alien and put names on him
But the alien knew who he was and what he was and who he came from
....
The alien and I fell in love
But it was pre-love kind of love
We weren't allowed to be together
It was forbidden
....
But the time was coming
Sooner then they thought
When the alien could show himself
And things would be right
The higher power would give His blessing
And we would start our journey...
Saving souls
Because as different as we were
And as different as our jobs would be
We would have a common goal...
....

Find Him

When will people see
When will people hear
When will people know
That the Lord is good

When will we humble ourselves
To know that alone our lives are a blink of existence
When will we find it necessary to get on our knees and...
pray

The world keeps moving
It's not gonna stop
He's moving faster and faster

There is so much more to live for
We must not have blinders on
Every knee will bow
Every tongue will confess
That He is Lord
Period. The end. Done.

The box I put myself in

How many times have I said
"I hate the box"
"Burn the box"
"Let's tear up the box"
Yet there I was

The night it all happened
And I MADE rules
I MADE laws
I DID THAT

God didn't do it
He never told me to do that

I was hurt
And I thought that was the best thing to do
Little did I know
All this pain I had accrued
Could have been gone
Had I just breathed
And slowed down

It took someone else to show me
What I was doing wouldn't accomplish anything
That I was in a way...
Creating my own pain

That the truth was
I didn't have to lose a friend
I didn't have to shut them out completely
I could still have a friend
I didn't have to lose someone
Who always understands

That timing is everything
And only the good Lord
Knows where it lands

Fact VS. Truth

Today our pastor was talking about fact vs. truth...and I thought hmm...that's intersting. And to a normal person, you would think...well, aren't those synonyms? The same thing? No.

Example: Let's say you're broke. Flat broke no moola in the bank. Well...that's a fact. BUT. If you are a child of God and know where you help and strength comes from and that you will not lack any good thing, it is only something that will pass. The TRUTH is, Stay with God and keep your heart with His and He will provide all that you need. That maybe the job isn't here YET, but you are being taken care of in the supernatural and its just time before you see the fruit of those prayers.

See, God doesn't work the way we do. He doesn't see your need for food and go, "Oh look, they don't have any money for food, I guess they're just going to go hungry." YEAH RIGHT! He says, "Look, those are my babies down there and I'm about to fill em up!"

We don't know how God is going to do something, when He is going to do it. Or HOW He is going to do it. But trust that HE WILL do it. You cannot please God without faith. Why do you think He works in mysterious ways?! :)

I am dramatic

I am dramatic
I am passionate
Whether I'm passionately wrong
Or passionately right
I can at least say that I'm not apathetic
But when words are said you can't take them back
When you say things out of anger or hurt
You can't take them back
No matter how harsh you realized you were

I realized this today
That my words really truly do bring life or death
And I have to power to choose which
I make the decision on what side it is going to be
And the funny thing is...
I had every right to be angry, upset and mad
That isn't what I feel bad about
I just wish I would have acknowledged that
And not spoken in that condition
I really do want him to see the truth
To find truth.
